Joint Technology Transfer Office Lombardy Public Research Hospitals
Thanks to the “TTO4IRCSS” project, cofinanced by the four Lombardy public research hospitals (IRCCS) as part of the Framework Collaboration Agreement with Lombardy Region, the Joint Technology Transfer Office was created in order to enhance the traslational research of the instiutes involved: Policlinico Hospital, Policlinico San Matteo, Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori, Istituto Neurologico Besta.
The research activity, already carried out at the highest Italian national standards levels within the four IRCCS, thanks to this project is further supported with the protection and commercial valorisation of the inventions developed by researchers, with the goal of improving clinical practice and creating new therapies for the benefit of society and patients.
The valorization of the technologies patented by the four IRCCS also allows a new method of capital raising, through collaborative and strategic partnership with private companies and the creation of innovative start-ups, that can be reinvested in clinical research activities.
